Illinois SADD provides training to students in prevention best practices to empower young people to become agents of change in their schools and communities. Students are seen as viable partners in the work of the community coalitions and other prevention initiatives. Illinois SADD is housed at Prevention First, a statewide nonprofit committed to building and supporting healthy drug-free communities through public education, professional training and effective tools for those working to prevent drug use and related issues such as violence, teen pregnancy, and academic failure.
